Hello,

This week, in Mrs. Marchel class, our class had a pretty good week. The math was kind of hard for us to understand. We had to learn how to compare fractions and put into a matrix. Mrs. Marchel showed us how to relate the numbers in the fraction by finding the common denominator. I think that it might have been hard because people where messing around and not paying attention. We started to learn about how to divided fractions today.

In writing we began yesterday to learn how to be persuasive when we write. We have to know how to persuade or change someones thinking in order to sway them and think and believe as we want them too. WE need to know our audience and evoke feelings and support with good reason. WE had to write and persuade to see who would get some big chocolate chip cookies. The groups read their persuasive letters to the class, which was the audience, and had to convince them as to why they should get the cookies. Yellow group won. We voted and decided that they were the most authentic and honest.
