Marchel class observations by: Alex Hoyer

After reading a chapter of our book Pax, the class listened and concentrated fairly well but some people were still talking. There is quite a lot of talking on the transition into math. MRS. Marchel was talking to MRS. Orme and there was a lot of talking. a lot of people are doing good in the white board session but there is still a lot of talking. Some people have been messing around in Seacrest and Riverwood Islanders tables. Those are our Social Studies table names. I am from the New Englanders.  In math we are going into lesson 4-11 an we are doing fairly well. We are working on decimals and place value and a lot of people are doing good. We usually do either the evens or odds on multiplying decimals.. A lot of people doing well and getting there math, but some people are talking and not concentrating The class is doing well in math there is not that much talking, but Riverwood Islanders are talking about project Pokemon and not concentrating.

We will be concentrating on science some more this afternoon. We have been learning about ecosystems and food chains. We are also getting ready to take our MAPS test in Reading today. We have really been focusing on figurative language and theme as well as authors purpose and context vocabulary. I hope we all do well. We need to score a 210.
